I photographed the fireworks display over the Arkansas River in Little Rock tonight. One of my favorite images happened to be the first picture I took.

I shot this butterfly at Mount Magazine State Park today. After the rains ended and the sun came out, these guys attacked any butterfly weed that could be found in the park.

I shot this bee at Mount Magazine State Park. I had fun chasing him around and trying to keep him in focus. It's amazing to me how much pollen these guys can pack on their legs.

I had a chance to test a new camera (Rebel Xsi) out today while shooting hummingbirds and butterflies at Mount Magazine State Park. The Xsi is too noisy for my needs but it's a nice little camera. At ISO 200 the camera is fine but at ISO 400 and above the noise is too high.  Here are four of my favorite shots from today. The hummingbird pics were taken while I was standing inside, shooting through a viewing glass at the visitor's center.
